Spread 1 cup raisins evenly in unbaked pie shell.
Mix together:
3/4 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pour this mixture over the raisins.  Bake at 325 degrees until light brown.   Make a meringue of egg whites and a bit of sugar, beat to stiff peaks.  Spread on top of baked pie, and brown in oven.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup lard or margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 cup chopped and peeled apples
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamin
1 teaspong baking soda
1/3 cup chopped nuts
Mix all above ingredients together, blend in well.  Pour in greased and floured 9×13 cake pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
This is a fantastic, “old school” recipe from my grandma!  You can eat it plain or use either a cream cheese based frosting or a maple based frosting.  Other topping alternative:  1/3 cup white sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamin, mix together and sprinkle over top of cake prior to baking.

So what do you guys think of the new look?
