Denny’s Microwave Carmel Corn

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup White Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.  Cook for 2 minutes on high; stir.  Cook 2 minutes more on high; stir in baking soda and vanilla.  Pour over 17-18 cups of popped popcorn, in a brown paper bag.  Fold over top edge of bag.  Cook 1 1/2 minutes on high; shake bag.  Cook 1 1/2 minutes on high, shake bag.  Cook 1/2 minute on high.  Shake bag; pour into serving bowl to cool.

Ben’s Cheesy Chips

  1. Put doritos into a bowl.  Top with grated cheddar cheese.
  2. Microwave for 35 seconds.
  3. Enjoy!!

Party Snack Crackers 

  • 2 pkgs Oyster Crackers
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil (Canola/Sunflower)
  • 1 tsp Dill Weed
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Pepper
  • 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

Mix everything except crackers.  Pour mixture over crackers to coat.  Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 250 degrees.  Stir while baking.  (I like to add more seasonings of each, approximately 1/4 tsp,  and more oil.)  Very good.

Sweet Chex Mix

1 family size Crispix cereal
1/2 bag pretzels
1 can mixed nuts
Put above ingredients into a brown grocery bag.

In a saucepan, slowly bring to a boil the following ingredients:
2 sticks margarine or butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 cups brown sugar
Remove from heat and add:
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour over cereal mixture, roll bag up and shake. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Take out every minute and shake. Pour onto 2 cookie sheets and cool. Enjoy. Nice treat if you like sweet and salty.
