1/2 cup Crisco shortening
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
Beat these ingredients well, then add:
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
Mix well, and then add 1 cup ripe, mased bananas and 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Mix until blended together.  Pour into greased cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
